My name is Diego Gonzalez Castañeda and I am a Film/Video producer with experience in directing, writing, and editing. I was born in Mexico City and later lived in South Texas, and I have always had a huge passion for filmmaking and video creation.
I started doing a film in high school my sophomore year editing my friend's films for the school’s theatre club. I’ve been video editing from a very young age as I just enjoyed compositing different elements to create a new world or story! By my senior year, I directed my first-place short film for the Texas Media Awards and two Best Editor Awards!

I’ve had the amazing opportunity to edit adverts and sports segments for TV Azteca RGV, Texas, and assistant edit short features for independent filmmakers.
In 2022, I registered an LLC and began an independent video editing business.
I’m currently a Sophomore at SCAD and excited to collaborate with other filmmakers or creators and find new opportunities to learn and develop my skill and passion in directing, acting, and editing.
